Science Education: Toward a More Scientifically Literate Future

Educating the public on scientific topics is an important contribution to science in and of itself. It is imperative that as a scientific community we work to bridge the apparent gap between scientific endeavors and the public. As part of my dedication to science education for all, I have worked in underserved, majority-minority public schools through Teach for America. This experience has caused me to consider how science is taught at all levels in the educational system and how we can work to make science more inclusive through teaching.

The scope and purpose of this page will evolve through time and as it is updated I will link materials that I have found work well for connecting young people with scientific ideas in hopes that it is useful to somebody. For now, this is a work in progress.
